Kim and Mark’s surprise proposal on Oahu was one of pure joy and elation! These two were smiling from ear to ear for their proposal as well as all of the portraits to follow. This joy and excitement is part of what makes proposals such wonderful moments to capture. It’s a huge stepping stone in any relationship, the point at which both parties commit to being together on this journey through life together. It makes sense then why there’s so much excitement around a proposal, and why Kim and Mark were over the moon during their session!

Kim and Mark’s Proposal at Secret Island

For Kim and Mark’s surprise proposal they chose one of the most iconic locations on Oahu, Secret Island of Kualoa Ranch. I say iconic because this location is not only beautiful, but also one of the most popular locations on the island for a proposal. Some of my other couples have proposed here including Destiny and Brandon as well as Patrick and Kimberly. With how stunning the location is, it’s easy to see why this spot is so popular for proposals.

For Kim and Mark’s proposal, Kim’s sister is actually the one who reached out to me for booking. Portraits After Their Surprise Proposal on Oahu

After popping the question at Secret Lake, Kim and Mark had some time to walk around and capture some portraits to celebrate this wonderful moment in their relationship. The portraits took place first in the trees and greenery surrounding the pond itself which really captured that sense of them celebrating in a tropical paradise. Not to be outdone though, they then made their way towards the nearby beach next for some portraits in the sand. There they met up with Kim’s sister and her partner for a group photo to celebrate Kim and Mark’s new engagement. Safe to say that their surprise proposal on Oahu was a complete success!
