This Oahu, Hawaii Sunset engagement was from my dreams.
Engagement sessions are such a great way to connect with your photographer prior to your wedding day + a fantastic way to connect with each other.  They are also so useful because it gives you (bride +groom) the opportunity to be in front of the camera – GOODBYE NERVES! Unless you are a model you will feel some sort of nervousness leading up to your session. This is so normal and will quickly go away. No need to practice posing, or even think about it for that matter. I got you! Plan on moving, laughing, dancing + having the best time with your lover. 

Denise + JR planned their engagement session a few days before their Hawaii Wedding. They  picked cliffside + beach + sunset for their dreamy engagement session. Hey, best of both worlds! They danced cliffside to their favorite spotify playlist, in the wind, with the sun setting. It was pretty magical + gave them all the confidence in the world to feel relaxed in front of the camera on their wedding day. 

A few things I loved that they said about each other:
Denise: “He serves people so well and is so genuine and giving with everything he does. He perseveres, never gives up, and when he fails, he gets right back up.”
JR: “She extends grace towards my deepest pains and mistakes. She is who I want to celebrate life with, but also who I want by my side when life has its lows. She’s hilarious and quirky.”

Denise & JR sent me the sweetest love note:
“There’s no way I could fully describe our experience with Mersadi and do it justice, but simply put she’s an incredibly talented photographer with the kindest heart and most down to earth soul. She creates pure magic and our sunset session and wedding pictures are my most favorite photos I’ve ever had. I stumbled upon Mersadi on social media, and her art was beautiful of course, but it was after talking to her and seeing just how easy going and kind she was, that sealed the deal for us. We actually had never been to Hawaii, so planning our destination wedding to a place we had never been to and finding the right people, was a daunting task for sure. Mersadi not only understood what we wanted and hoped for, but shared the same ideals. She made our photo session so easy, light and fun by hyping us up and making us laugh and through that, created the most breathtaking photos. She captured our wedding, the emotions of that day and the essence of who we are as a couple so beautifully. She goes above and beyond for people and truly has the best intentions of making these life moments unforgettable. Choosing her as our photographer is one of the best decisions we’ve ever made and I can’t thank her enough.”
