I had the absolute pleasure of photographing this super sweet and adorable proposal at Makapuu Lookout on the island of Oahu! Makapuu is one of my top locations on the island for proposals, elopements, and just photos in general. There’s so much to see and work with here in terms of photos which you’ll see soon enough!

Cliffside Proposal

Like I said, this proposal was THE sweetest! These two had such a pure and fun energy all throughout their session and I’m so glad I was able to photograph their proposal at Makapuu Lookout! The proposal itself took place on the actual lookout, with Oahu’s shore, the ocean, and islands in the distance as our incredible backdrop. We then had some time for some portraits along the ledge and the trail leading to the lookout. Complete with a bottle of champagne, a gorgeous sunset, and flower leis, this was the textbook example of the perfect proposal in Hawaii!

Makapuu Lookout on Oahu

Makapuu Lookout is one of the most stunning locations on the Island of Oahu which makes it an easy choice for proposals or elopements like this one! This location has SO much going for it aside from the incredibly breathtaking views from the lookout. There are hiking paths nearby to explore as well as Makapuu Beach which is just a short walk down from the lookout. The variety of backdrops to work with at Makapuu Lookout combined with the immense beauty of the location make it a no brainer for elopements and proposals! 

Proposals are some of the most joyful and emotional sessions to photograph, and this one at Makapuu Lookout was no exception! I had so much fun with these two and am so glad I was able to be a part of this milestone in their relationship.
