Oahu is home to many incredible wedding venues, some of which I’ve already talked about in past articles. Today is a special day though as we get to look at a breathtaking intimate wedding at one of my favorite venues on Oahu’s north shore, Waialua Valley Farms! Jillian and Kyle’s intimate celebration atop the mountains of the north shore is a stunning display of what makes this venue so incredible, and how to make a wedding equal parts fun and emotional.

Getting Ready for the Day

The day started off slow and relaxed, with Jillian preparing for the day in the getting ready space of Waialua Valley Farms. The getting ready space is one of the many features I love about this venue, as it meant Jillian didn’t have to worry about travel arrangements leading up to the wedding. Instead she was able to relax and get ready with the love and support of her family and friends. Emotions were running high as everyone was eager for what the day would bring. Soon Kyle arrived and it was time to get their intimate wedding ceremony at Waialua Valley Farms underway!

An Intimate Wedding Ceremony at Waialua Valley Farms

In terms of ceremony spaces, Waialua Valley Farms easily has one of the most gorgeous backdrops for an intimate wedding throughout the Hawaiian Islands. The breathtaking valley and epic mountain views set the scene for a wedding experience like none other. The effortless beauty of the space means that additional décor isn’t really necessary, so Jillian and Kyle opted for just a bit of vibrant florals as their décor and let the venue do most of the heavy lifting. As the ceremony began, Kyle stood anxiously waiting for Jillian to walk down the aisle, and soon enough the moment came.

Jillian made her entrance while being escorted by her father, who was completely overcome with emotion. It was SUCH a beautiful moment to start their wedding ceremony. With a bit of overcast to provide some wonderful lighting, Jillian and Kyle’s ceremony proceeded and soon enough the two were officially newlyweds! Immediately after the ceremony we had some time for newlywed and family portraits. We took the time to make the most of the scenic views of Waialua Valley Farms while guests of Jillian and Kyle’s intimate wedding enjoyed themselves at cocktail hour.

Their Intimate Wedding Reception at Waialua Valley Farms

After we’d finished up portrait photos for the time being, Jillian and Kyle were able to join the last bit of their cocktail hour and enjoy the company of their loved ones. The two enjoyed chatting with their guests while surrounded by the stunning views of Oahu’s north shore. Their reception dinner followed soon after and took place on the venue’s lanai. The evening was filled with lovely moments such as the first dances between Jillian, Kyle, and their parents on the main lawn, some hilarious and heartfelt speeches, and an epic outfit change for Jillian! It was the perfect moment to kick off the party inside of Waialua Valley Farms, but not before Jillian, Kyle and I got some sunset portraits to cap off their intimate wedding day.

I had SO much fun with Jillian and Kyle. Their intimate wedding at Waialua Valley Farms was a phenomenal experience from start to finish, and one I’m so glad I was able to be a part of!
