When you picture a wedding in Hawaii the first thing that comes to your mind is likely a beachfront ceremony and reception looking out towards the ocean. Anyone that’s been following me knows just HOW much I love my weddings and elopements on the beach, but the beach is far from the only picturesque setting the islands have to offer! Hannah and Herman’s intimate wedding is a prime example of this, as their celebration took place in the mountains of Kualoa Ranch on Oahu! Kualoa Ranch is legitimately jaw dropping, and was the perfect setting for these two’s incredible day!

Getting Ready and Their First Look

Kualoa Ranch is a location I’ve featured on the blog a few different times now, whether it be a proposal, an engagement session, or even a venue feature I did on the location! Something I mentioned in the last article is how Kualoa Ranch has locations on site for its couples to get ready in, something I LOVE and something that Hannah was able to take advantage of for her wedding day. Once ready it was time to meet Herman outside for the two’s first look. Herman’s reaction to seeing Hannah for the first time was priceless, and the perfect way to kick off their wedding day festivities. We took some time for some portraits with the stunning mountains of Oahu’s Kualoa Ranch looming overhead before their intimate wedding ceremony began. 

Their Intimate Wedding in the Mountains of Kualoa Ranch

The same gorgeous mountains from their portrait photos would be the backdrop for their ceremony as well. The site of Hannah and Herman’s wedding is Kualoa Ranch’s Low Camp, which is at the foot of the mountains themselves. This gave their festivities a jaw dropping sense of scale and wonder. With their closest friends and family in attendance, and music provided by a wonderful string trio, Hannah and Herman’s ceremony was everything they’d envisioned it would be! After signing their marriage license Hannah and Herman took some time for portraits in the beautiful ceremony space before their cocktail hour and reception. We weren’t just about to pass up one one of the most stunning pieces of landscape the island of Oahu has to offer!

Their Intimate and Traditional Wedding Reception

Hannah and Herman kicked off their wedding celebration in style, with a champagne tower for their cocktail hour along with a welcome speech to all of their friends and family in attendance. Afterwards we decided to sneak off for just a few more portraits with the stunning mountains of Kualoa Ranch before their reception officially got underway. Their reception of course featured fantastic toasts to the newlyweds, some delicious food, and tons of smiles from everyone in attendance, but the main event was still to come. Hannah and Herman hired traditional Hawaiian Hula and Fire dancers for their reception which was SO much fun! Hannah, Herman, and their guests were able to learn from and join in with the Hula dancers, before being treated with the fire dance as the grand finale.

There’s seriously SO much to love about Hannah and Herman’s intimate wedding at Oahu’s Kualoa Ranch. From the pure and passionate love these two share with one another, to being able to celebrate that love at one of Oahu’s most amazing locations, everything felt just right for their wedding day.
