Are you wondering where in Hawaii you should elope? Maui is an excellent choice for your special day! Specifically, the west side of Maui is one of our top picks for the best locations to plan your dream elopement. The scenery is astounding! And Maui really does have it all while still feeling like you are in paradise. There’s a reason why it’s a popular Island for elopements.

Cait and Will planned the most epic and unforgettable non-beach Hawaii elopement. We spent the day together covering both photography and video. During their wedding day, we went from Land, Jungle, Cliffs, to Sea! Hitting all these spots makes it the most adventurous Maui elopement! It’s one of the most epic days we’ve ever been a part of.

How to make your wedding day unique and personal.

Your wedding day should be YOU! All of the things that are important and matter to you should happen! Will and Cait did just that.

Will went snorkeling the morning of their wedding day as a way to relax and unwind in nature. They spent the morning enjoying coffee and room service at the beautiful Montage Resort in Kapalua. Cait was glammed up by Bre Hair and Makeup and had florals delivered by Bella Blooms. The couple chose a non traditional first look on hotel property because anything staged or cheesey was a HECK no for Cait.

Next, we were able to hit multiple amazing locations on their elopement day, including the Honolua Bay, a lush jungle. The way the sun hits just perfectly in there absolutely takes my breath away! You’ll be amazed looking through these photos. The trees and endless vines are something totally unique.

Then, they said personal vows and were married on the cliffs at Ironwoods. It was the windiest day, but that didn’t stop them or bother them! Their moment was perfect, intimate, and full of heartfelt emotion.

Finally, we jetted down to the boat harbor where Will and Cait hired an exceptional sailboat to take them for a sunset cruise. The conditions were PERFECT! They prepared a fire playlist to jam to, sipped champagne, and enjoyed the fresh pups that the boat company prepared.

Cait did an outfit change (cue sporty Cait!) and rocked her second look. After that they celebrated by cutting a cake and smashing it on Will’s face. A little hesitation went into their decision on how they wanted to end the night, but Will gave the HELL YES and ended their day in the very best way… jumping off a sailboat into the ocean! Can you think of a more epic way to finish off your wedding day? Yeah, we can’t either!!

Elopements are our jam! The couples that choose to spend their wedding day their way are our kind of people! Will and Cait hired us for a full day of photos and video so all of their story was captured and they were able to go back home to the Pacific Northwest and share it with all of their friends and family.
