North Shore Oahu Sunrise Maternity Family Pictures. As we drove to the North Shore of Oahu for Leila’s Hawaii maternity photo session the sun was coming up, the most beautiful pinks lit the sky. It was the most perfect setting for Leila and Mark’s maternity pictures. Glowing mama to be Leila is God sent, she embodies grace and her beauty is so effortless. She chose a simple, grassy look and she and her cute bunch were the highlight of the beautiful morning. 

I talk a lot about the season of life and the importance of photographing each season. Having a baby, your body changing, life, and usually family dynamics change. Maternity pictures in the last weeks will be so cherished. Leila wrote on her Instagram this, “ I say this every time we have our photos professionally taken, but THESE are my favorites. Those in between moments. Believe it or not, Little Mark was not having it that morning. We were trying everything – silly games, favorite song, a little Target bribery. Nothing worked. It was super early, none of us had eaten yet, it was a bit nippy, and the grass still covered in dew. So I get it, took a breath and said it was ok and smiled anyways – even though I was low key bummed we wouldn’t get one good photo of the three of us BUT Mersad Olson (Hawaii Maternity photographer) worked her magic and amazed me!

SEASONS are meant to be photographed, Hawaii is the perfect place for your baby moon + maternity pictures. Sunrise is the most ideal time to schedule your session because there are little to no people out and you have the rest of the day to play and enjoy the beauty of Hawaii.
