There is a LOT to love about Andrea and Jacob’s elopement day on the east side of Oahu. From their inclusion of one of my favorite wedding venues Male’ana Gardens, for their elopement ceremony, to some truly breathtaking portraits atop Makapu’u Lookout, it was an unforgettable day at some of the best spots Oahu has to offer. More than that though, these two made their day an authentic celebration of their love that I had THE best time documenting!

Their Elopement Ceremony at Male’ana Gardens

The day began with both Andrea and Jacob getting ready for their elopement on location at Male’ana Gardens. One of the many details that I adore about this venue are their wonderful getting ready spaces inside the house on the property. Male’ana Gardens specializes in elopements and micro weddings, so it felt like the perfect fit for Andrea and Jacob’s day. Once they were ready, the two made their entrances to the gorgeous outdoor ceremony space lined with beautiful towering palm trees.

It was a stunning, intimate, and emotion filled ceremony where Andrea and Jacob were able to share their vows with one another and exchange rings, with only me and their officiant present. It was so important for these two to be able to be fully present with one another throughout their elopement, and that’s exactly what they did! Soon after their ceremony the two signed their marriage license, officially becoming newlyweds. 

Elopement Portraits at Makapuu Lookout

Following some portraits at Male’ana Gardens, and after having a few bites of their delicious wedding cake, we continued celebrating their elopement with a trip to Makapu’u Beach and Lookout for some newlywed portraits. These are some of my favorite spots on the island for portraits as the views of the ocean and the landscape of Oahu are simply breathtaking here, and are on full display. It’s a dreamy and romantic space to celebrate with the love of your life, and the perfect finale for Andrea and Jacob’s gorgeous elopement on the island of Oahu!
