Oahu is such an incredibly beautiful island, which is why it makes for the perfect setting for a family session. Family sessions are some of my favorites that we photograph at Olson Productions, as they’re so personal and meaningful for the families. It’s an opportunity to capture your family as it exists now and create memories together that you can look back on for years to come. It’s why I’m SO glad with how the Berg Ohana’s family session at Makapuu Lookout on Oahu turned out and why I cannot wait to share it with you all!
Family Session on the Island of Oahu
Like the other islands of Hawaii, Oahu is no stranger when it comes to gorgeous landscapes and views for any photography session. Whether you’re looking for pristine sandy beaches, epic cliffside views, or the feeling of a lush tropical paradise, the island has you covered! This natural beauty found throughout the islands is part of what led Olson Productions to become what it is today. We have a team on each of the islands so that no matter what island and style of session you’re looking for we’re able to provide the best possible experience to you. Whether it’s an elopement on the Big Island, an engagement session on Kauai, or a family session on Oahu, we have you covered! Speaking of Oahu family sessions, let’s take a look at the Berg Ohana’s session at Makapuu Lookout.
Berg Ohana
The Berg’s family session at Makapuu Lookout on Oahu had a little bit of everything in it. If you’ve been following me for a little while you know just how much I and the Olson Productions crew LOVE Makapuu Lookout. From proposals, to elopements, and of course family sessions, Makapuu Lookout just has so much to offer as a setting for any photography session.
The Berg Ohana took full advantage of the beauty of Makapuu with their session, starting atop the cliffs to take in those incredible views of the island and water below. We then worked our way further down the cliffside for some portraits closer to the water. The sun started to break through to overcast which was so much fun to work with! We then finished the session by heading down to the beach for some photos in the water which was the perfect way to cap off this dreamy family session.
I really cannot get over just how wonderful the Berg’s family session at Makapuu Lookout on Oahu turned out. Capturing this precious moment of their family for them to look back on for years to come is what makes family sessions SO special and why they’ll always hold a special spot in my heart.
