For their wedding day on the Big Island of Hawaii, Ashten and Dillon wanted to keep things relaxed and intimate. Their goal was to celebrate their love with their closest friends and family in attendance. They wanted to keep things short and sweet, with a goal of having a wedding day focused on the celebration of their love. Safe to say that they pulled this off with flying colors, I can’t wait to share their day with you all!

Their Intimate Wedding on Hawaii’s Big Island

Both Ashten and Dillon were beaming with joy from the moment their wedding day began. Their intimate wedding took place in a backyard in Kailua-Kona, a town on the west coast of Hawaii’s Big Island. The two spent their morning getting ready separately with the help of their friends and family. Ashten’s hair and makeup was done by the incredible Indigo Grace Artistry, and her bouquet as well as the rest of the day’s florals were done by the amazingly talented Grace Flowers Hawaii. Once ready Ashten and Dillon met up for the sweetest first look before taking some portraits.

We had some overcast throughout the morning which made for some great lighting opportunities for their portraits. As the two began their ceremony the sun started to peek out shining on Ashten and Dillon who were already RADIANT with joy. With their ceremony over, the two had plenty of time for portraits as the sun set on the Big Island of Hawaii and their intimate wedding day. To end their already perfect day they spent the rest of their night eating and celebrating with their friends and family.

Intimate Weddings in Hawaii

They were able to have their entire wedding day in the comfort of their backyard which I think is SO cool! It’s weddings like theirs that make me so glad I get to experience wedding days of ALL sizes throughout Hawaii!
